Fall is here!

It is almost November, and so much has happened since the last time I blogged. The main reason being my return to work the end of August. It's been a challenge juggling home and school and some days it just feels like we are just doing what we can to survive. Lilly is a true blessing and is growing so fast. We've done a lot in the last two months, and the time has flown by. We went apple picking in Charlottesville for the first time. It was a lot of fun and definitely a tradition that we want to continue. We traveled to San Diego, CA. We left Lilly with my mom for four days which was probably the hardest thing I have ever had to do. But, we all survived, and we returned to a happy, healthy baby. Mom and Steve were exhausted, and we were well rested. San Diego was gorgeous and we had a nice time, even though the circumstances in which we were there were not good. Dave's grandfather passed away and we flew out for the funeral. It was great to be with his dad's entire family, but sad at the same time. We visited the pumpkin patch and have been enjoying the cool Fall weather.
Lilly has become very active and we can no longer lay her on the floor and expect her to stay in one place. She rolls and scoots and we suspect she will crawl any day. She giggles, screams, coos, and babbles non stop and is a true delight. We were looking back at videos tonight and can't believe how much she has grown and changed. She is not itty bitty anymore. She is a fun, outgoing 6 month old that we are enjoying every moment with. Below are two videos one from 2 months old and one from tonight, 6 months old.

I am going to try very hard to keep my blog updated on a regular basis so that out-of-town family can stay up-to-date on our very busy lives! Below are some recent pictures (in no special order).
