This past week we have been super busy enjoying the summer weather, friends and family! Last Friday we had dinner with The Seay family. They came over for pizza before Dave and John's softball game. Lilly loved playing with Colby and I enjoyed spending time with Amy! It had been too long since we had all gotten together. Colby is such a ham and Lilly adored him. She has asked about him every day since! After dinner we all headed to the softball field to watch the games. Since they were late games Lilly and I only lasted a little while before we needed to come home and go to bed!

Saturday we headed to the
Ashland Strawberry
Fare with Justin,
Rebecca and Lawson. It was WAY TOO hot but still fun! I think we stayed about an hour and called it quits! We had fun walking around and looking at all the booths and craft stands! But, since it was so hot we came home and enjoyed hanging out with a beer on the deck in the shade!

Saturday night all the girls had a long overdue girls night!! It's really hard to get all of us together on the same night since everyone has children and busy schedules, but we finally did it! We enjoyed dinner and drinks at
Firebirds! We all enjoyed catching up with one another. The dinner was bitter sweet because we welcomed back to Richmond Becky, who has been in TN with her hubby Matt and beautiful kids for the last 4 years while Matt has been doing his residency in Knoxville. I am so glad to have Becky back in Richmond and I know Dave is thrilled to have Matt, one of his best friends since high school, back too! The dinner was bitter because it was the last night for a while that we will all get together with Kristy since she, her hubby Matt, and their son Drew moved to Denver this past week. We are excited for them and their new adventure in Colorado, but sad to see them go.
Sunday, we took advantage of another
festival in Richmond! The Broad Appetite was downtown on Broad street in the historic
Gallery District. 50+ restaurants set up booths with their signature foods to taste. The small plates were $3 each and were delicious. We went with Dad and Diana and enjoyed tasting different foods from many different restaurants in Richmond. We now have a list of new places downtown we want to try soon!

Monday and
Tuesday the weather here was gorgeous. There was hardly any humidity and the temperatures were much lower than they had been with a wonderful breeze! We enjoyed a lot of time playing outside and going on evening walks with our favorite neighbors!! Lilly loves visiting the cows in the neighborhood (they are on a farm that backs up to our neighborhood). There are 2 new baby cows now that she loves going to see!
